The team with the fifth-best away record will visit Stadion Rote Erde on Sunday (27/2). SV Wehen Wiesbaden have picked up half of their points on their travels. Meanwhile, the BVB U23s want to return to winning ways following their unlucky defeat away to league leaders Magdeburg. Kick-off is at 14:00 CET.

SVWW coach Markus Kauczinski, who has been in the dugout since November 2021, will be satisfied with his team's recent results. A 3-1 defeat to Magdeburg was followed by two victories against Saarbrücken (1-0) and Viktoria Berlin (2-0). The men from Hesse will go into the match in ninth place (40 points), two places behind BVB (41 points).

The biggest attacking threat for the visitors is Gustaf Nilsson, who has scored 14 goals and set up a further four in 24 appearances. That puts the Sweden international in second place in the goalscoring charts, behind Baris Atik (Magdeburg) and ahead of former BVB man Michael Eberwein (Halle). BVB's top scorer is Berkan Taz with 10 goals.

BVB coach Enrico Maassen will have to make some personnel changes to the team that started the 2-0 defeat in Magdeburg last weekend. Immanuel Pherai will miss out through suspension and will need to be replaced in central midfield. Abdoulaye Kamara and Kolbeinn Finnsson are also not yet available to play. Both are still sidelined with injury.
