Tyson Fury defeated Deontay Wilder to retain the WBC Heavyweight Title in Las Vegas last night. Fury’s story is one of determination and mental strength having recovered from a number of putdowns outside of the ring to rise up to the very top of boxing once again.

The fighter, nicknamed ‘The Gypsy King’, comes from an Irish Traveller family and has been pictured a number of times wearing the Hoops. He is a Manchester United fan and has been pictured following the English National Team around on their travels; however, he has been very open about his Irish heritage. This is something that he is very proud of. Despite his connection to United, he clearly has a connection with Celtic and has been pictured in the past wearing the club’s colours.
