Manchester United were offered the chance to sign a surprise Chelsea youngster in negotiations over Alejandro Garnacho.
After falling out with Ruben Amorim after the Europa League final, Garnacho’s future has always seemed away from Old Trafford.
The Argentina international has been linked to numerous clubs but he has rejected them all, waiting for a move to Chelsea to materialise.
He even turned down an approach from European giants Bayern Munich as he only has eyes for Stamford Bridge.
United have set a price of around £50 million for Garnacho but Chelsea have so far not gotten close to this amount.
They have reportedly tried to entice United with swap deals and are said to only place a value of around £25 million on the 21-year-old.
Reliable Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Tyrique George was brought up in discussions over a move for Garnacho.
Romano stated on his YouTube channel that, “I can 100% tell you that Chelsea expect the Alejandro Garnacho deal to happen.”
He added, “the player expects that this deal will happen as he has turned down many opportunities.”
Interestingly he brought up that, “there were some talks to include Tyrique George in the deal… but I was told this option stopped a few weeks ago.”
The English winger is “now being considered by Roma.”
The 19-year-old has played 26 times for the Blues, scoring three goals in total.
He broke through last season but he has so far not made an appearance this season for Chelsea as his future looks to be elsewhere.
