Both Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo have been offered to Chelsea this summer, according to the Evening Standard.

The Blues have removed the entire top end of their recruitment staff in the form of Petr Cech and Marina Granovskaia, and it appears that Todd Boehly will be doing a lot of the business himself.

The piece claims that intermediaries representing both these players have offered their clients to the new Chelsea owner, in what could be a worrying change in how the club operates.

We wanted to see more effective scouting in place, not just fading superstars being offered to an owner who has no experience at all in football recruitment.

The idea that he met Jorge Mendes, as was reported last week, and then a few days later is thinking about signing his client Ronaldo, is a worrying one.
