Two BVB full-backs were in action with their national teams on Sunday. Ramy Bensebaini's Algeria went up against Mozambique, while Julian Ryerson and Norway travelled to Scotland.

An Algeria side containing Rami Bensebaini also emerged victorious in their second 2026 World Cup qualifier. The match, in which the Dortmund defender completed the 90 minutes, ended in a 2-0 win. That puts Algeria comfortably top of Group G, which also contains Guinea, Botswana, Uganda and Somalia, with six points from their two games.

The Norway national team finished off their European Championship qualifying campaign with a high-scoring 3-3 draw. The match no longer had any great sporting importance for either team. Scotland had already qualified for EURO 2024 as the group runners-up, while third-placed Norway no longer had any chance of qualification. BVB defender Julian Ryerson notched the assists for the goals that put Norway 2-1 up and levelled the scores at 3-3.

Sébastien Haller's Ivory Coast will face Gambia at 17:00 CET on Monday (20/11). All the fixtures involving Dortmund's international players can be found here.
