Newcastle’s COVID-19 outbreak has spread after confirmation that two more employees have tested positive for the virus.
The Magpies were missing three unanmed players for Friday’s 2-0 win at Crystal Palace, one of whom would have started at Selhurst Park.
According to The Chronicle, two more staff members have now also been forced to go into self-isolation.
Manager Steve Bruce was already working with a depleted squad due to injuries to Allan Saint-Maximin, Jamaal Lascelles and Andy Carroll.
The current situation will undoubtedly affect the Toon’s preparations for Friday’s trip to Aston Villa.
There have been some suggestions that any further coronavirus cases in the Newcastle camp could throw doubt over that game taking place.
