It is going to be a busy deadline day indeed at Manchester United.
There are currently two medicals ongoing at the clubâs Carrington training base â and progressing well by all accounts.
Free agent striker Edinson Cavani is on the verge of signing a two-year contract, with an announcement imminent this afternoon.
He will then be joined by Porto defender Alex Telles, who is also at the training ground undergoing his medical.
The Brazilian left-backâs arrival does not necessarily mean that young defender Brandon Williams will depart.
Although Southampton have expressed an interest in bringing him in on loan, reports indicate that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to keep him at the club.
However, it isnât all good news for United as fresh reports from Barcelona state that a deal for Ousmane DembĂ©lĂ© is now all but dead.
United had been pushing for a loan, with the player eager for a permanent move and while the Blaugrana would accept a loan with an option to buy, such an offer hasnât been forthcoming.
As a result, the winger now seems all but certain to remain at Camp Nou this season.
