Teun Koopmeiners and Francisco Conceiçao pushed to join Juventus last summer, and the Bianconeri eventually got it done after tricky negotiations with Atalanta and Porto. Despite transferring on loan, the Portuguese winger anticipates sticking around, as he told La Stampa.

“It’s not up to me to go into detail about certain things, but I don’t see myself simply passing through here. I like the project, and I am curious about Turin. There’s everything to live the profession to the fullest here. I draw inspiration from street football, which catches the interest of the fans.” “Thiago Motta asks us to be creative in the final third. He says that everybody is free to exploit his skills within a collective strategy. Winning is a need for me and the teams I played for. On the red card versus Cagliari, I was touched. Perhaps it wasn’t a penalty, but I didn’t dive. In general, I always play at a very fast pace, trying to take defenders on.”

Like Conceiçao, Koopmeiners picked Juventus among a few options without thinking twice about it. He spoke with TuttoSport.

“I knew some English clubs were interested in me, but I didn’t have any doubt when I was told about the Bianconeri. I’ve liked this team since the first time I came to Italy. It’s the most important one here and in the world. In reality, I’ve been cheering for them since I was a kid and they had great champions. I loved Zinedine Zidane. There are some nice sides in the Premier League, but everything is better here: I know the league, the country, which is beautiful, the opponents, and the atmosphere in general.”
