Real Madrid and Brazil star Vinícius seems the most likely to win the biggest individual prize in football, and now two ex-Barcelona stars have thrown their weight behind Vinícius to scoop the prize.

As per ElDesmarque, the stars in question are fellow compatriot Neymar and Premier League legend Sergio Agüero.

Neymar showed his support for his fellow countryman in an appearance on Brazilian TV, where he stated ‘He’s a guy who deserves it, because he’s a fighter. He’s suffered a lot throughout his life, but he’s overcome all expectations and criticism.‘

Meanwhile, Sergio Agüero shared his thoughts in an appearance alongside Argentine streamer La Cobra, when he stated his preference for Vinícius to scoop the grand prize and emphasized his thoughts that the Brazilian has had a better season than fellow contender Kylian Mbappe.

Should Vini win the grand prize next month, he will be the first Brazilian since Kaká to do so, and will achieve what Neymar failed to grasp throughout his career.
