Two headline members of the first-team setup at Atlético Madrid may this evening have played their final home game in the colours of the Rojiblancos.
That’s if their respective post-match actions were anything to go by.
Atlético are fresh off an altogether disappointing outing on Sunday.
After welcoming Osasuna to the Wanda Metropolitano for the club’s penultimate fixture of the La Liga season, they were ultimately condemned to the wrong side of a 4-1 result.
As much means that the capital giants can no longer finish any higher than 4th in the Spanish top-flight table.
On the back of proceedings coming to a close in Madrid, Diego Simeone’s squad made sure to thank their loyal fanbase for their support across the length of what has proven a difficult season.
And, as this tribute played out, two particular members of Atléti’s ranks caught the eye.
Making their way to the crowd, both Álvaro Morata and Stefan Savić were spotted bidding what looked like a final farewell to the Metropolitano faithful.
This comes amid suggestions that the pair are in line for respective summer exits from Spain’s capital.
