India cricketing legend and current Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president, Sourav Ganguly took to social networking site, Twitter to hail the Indian men's national football side for qualifying for the upcoming 2023 AFC Asian Cup.

The Blue Tigers had successfully qualified for the Asian Cup after after Palestine defeated Philippines 4-0 in a group B match in Ulaanbaatar, which represented the first time that India had made it to the Asian Cup Finals for two successive editions.

"Great work by the Indian Football team on qualifying for the 2023 AFC Asian Cup! Led by the captain @SunilChhetri, the team has shown great spirit and no better place to do this than the Mecca of Football, good support by the fans throughout," Ganguly had tweeted.

However, what the 49-year-old did not realise is that he had tagged the wrong Sunil Chhetri on Twitter, with fans and followers of Indian football and even the other Chhetri quickly pointing out that he had praised the wrong man.

The real Sunil Chhetri for his part once again showed why he is India's most vital player, scoring in their 4-0 win over Hong Kong on Tuesday, June 14 to ensure that the Blue Tigers qualified for the Asian Cup unbeaten in their qualifiers.

The striker has been in brilliant form during the Asian Cup qualifiers, scoring four goals in three games to take his total tally to 84 goals in 129 appearances for his country.
