Torino have not yet given up in their hopes of signing Tommaso Pobega from AC Milan before the end of the transfer window, a report claims.
According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Torino’s sporting director Davide Vagnati called his Milan counterpart Ricky Massara to ask for Pobega back on loan, reminding him that the 23-year-old would get another season of ample playing time under Ivan Juric to grow even more.
Milan will think about it and will give an answer in the coming days, most likely dependant on their pursuit of signing another central midfielder (Jean Onana the leading name) and what will happen with Tiemoue Bakayoko.
Torino are willing to offer a loan deal with an obligation to buy inserted as part of that, but crucially a buy-back in favour of the Rossoneri. The player’s current market valuation is somewhere between €12-15m as per the Turin-based newspaper, with developments expected soon.
