AC Milan are hoping to have a fully fit squad for the Coppa Italia final next week, but one man who has certainly recovered is Tammy Abraham.
This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanPress) talks about the one major dilemma that Sergio Conceicao faces in view of the games against Bologna both tomorrow night and next Wednesday at the Stadio Olimpico.
More specifically, the coach must decide which of his three strikers – Tammy Abraham, Luka Jovic and Santiago Gimenez – he wishes to rely upon in this final part of the season, as the number one centre-forward.
The paper claims that the Serbian is the designated striker for the final at present, but this does not mean that the Englishman and the Mexican should be ruled out.
Abraham in particular has been a cup specialist so far this season, with seven of his 10 goals coming in the Champions League, Coppa Italia and Supercoppa, plus two assists as well.
Now that Abraham has returned to full training with the rest of the squad after missing the trip to Genoa, the Roma loanee is trying to obtain enough playing time to achieve his one big aim: to earn a permanent move to Milan.
He will do so starting from the match at San Siro, the appetiser for the final, as Conceicao is likely to select him from minute one. With a big performance, he could even change his mind in view of Act II.
