Juventus retain hope that they will soon welcome Pierre Kalulu for a medical ahead of a move from AC Milan but the deal is not sealed yet, a report claims.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan) has taken stock of the negotiations between Juventus and Milan for Kalulu. There is total agreement between the two clubs over a €3.5m loan with a €14m option to buy, plus €3m in bonuses and a 10% resale clause.

Kalulu’s agents have finalized everything with Juventus: the player will have a contract (in the event of a buy-out) until June 2029 with a salary of €2.5m net per season. What’s missing? The green light from Kalulu.

The French defender has asked for a few days to think about it becayse Juve’s offer came as a surprise, at a time when Kalulu was focused on Milan’s pre-season and earning back a starting spot under a new head coach.

Kalulu wanted a meeting with Juve and, in particular, with coach Thiago Motta to understand what role he would have in the new project of the Bianconeri. It is a phone call that the paper claim was already made yesterday, a day on which the defender trained at Milanello regularly.

The feeling is that the operation could be closed by the weekend and Motta’s hope is to be able to count on the former Lyon man for Juventus-Como on Monday evening, their first game of the new season.
