Tuttosport: Milan highlight No.1 target to replace Kessie as renewal hopes evaporate
SempreMilan
AC Milan have minimal optimism that Franck Kessie will renew his contract at the club and they are looking at potential replacements, according to a report.
According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews) this morning, Kessie’s future is expected to be away from the Rossoneri as his contract will expire on June 30 and at the moment there does not seem to be any possibility of him extending his terms as negotiations with the Milan management have stalled.
As seen when Mike Maignan arrived to replace Gianluigi Donnarumma before he had even left, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara like to prepare for all eventualities and for this reason they are already working to find his replacement for next season.
The paper claims that the ‘favourite’ to take the place of the Ivorian in the Milan midfield department is Lille’s Renato Sanches, with the Portuguese international a player held in very high regard as he has transformed his fortunes with the Ligue 1 club and was a big part of their title winning side last season.
