AC Milan could decide to sell Franck Kessie in January having reached a stalemate in talks over his renewal, according to a report.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanLive) reports that Milan ‘cannot find a point of rapprochement’ with Kessie and his entourage because the demands of the Ivorian and his agent George Atangana are simply too high. The 24-year-old is asking for a salary above €7m net per season excluding any bonuses, and the management have set their stall out: they will not give in to pressure.

While Kessie is likely to play against Torino tomorrow night at the San Siro, his future currently seems to lay away from the Rossoneri and it cannot be excluded that he is sold in the winter transfer window so that some money can be raised from his sale.

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara would sell Kessie to the highest bidder but they will not get the €50m they would have asked for last summer. The alternative of course is that the former Atalanta man leaves next June and joins another team on a free transfer, one that can satisfy his contractual demands.
