Tuttosport: Milan and Inter confident of 2030 opening for new San Siro | OneFootball

Inter and AC Milan are in the final stages of the first step of a new stadium together, and there is a timeline in place for when the stadium should be ready.

Talk of a new stadium has been present for years now, but with options being tested and new ideas being limited, there has been an influx in movement in the past 12 months. Largely, this has to do with the San Siro situation.

Both clubs have been threatened with the possibility of being homeless, and with individual attempts to find a new home not bearing any fruits, Milan and Inter have seemingly settled on staying at San Siro.

However, the renovation plans are not set to be resuscitated, instead, the clubs will build a new stadium on the same site. However, this is now facing protests from locals and even former government officials.

Despite all this noise, the duo are hoping to play in the new stadium from 2030 onwards, as reported in this morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via Milan News), which would align with the timings for the EURO 2032 stadiums, which would be a huge commercial boost.

It is a bold project, but it is necessary for both to continue their legacy.
