Tuttosport: Maignan cuts holiday short to prepare for Milan return | OneFootball

AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan has cut his holiday short to make sure that he is fit and ready to play for the Rossoneri again in January, a report claims.

As has been reported by Tuttosport (via Milan News), the French goalkeeper is quickly putting the disappointment of not going to the World Cup behind him and is focused on his Milan return.

He was not able to recover from his calf injury in time for Didier Deschamps to include him in the squad so he has been on holiday since.

He has returned home early though so that he can be in the best possible shape when training resumes at Milanello on December 2.

He wants to start the match away at Lecce on January 4 and he thinks being back with the rest of the squad as soon as possible will help him to do that so that he can reclaim the number one spot straight away.
