A player like Fikayo Tomori will always generate interest, however, whether AC Milan choose to listen to it is another thing. It seems that they are willing to now, though.
Tomori’s season has been massively challenging, and his position at Milan has rapidly worsened. In the summer, the Englishman was going to be the pillar of the back four, but now he is far from this with many other preferred.
There are reportedly several issues that hang over the defender and Paulo Fonseca, and whilst the Portuguese denied there being any problems and said there was nothing in rumours about a move to Turin, reports suggest otherwise.
Today, Tuttosport (via Milan News) write that the Diavolo have already been in contact with Cristiano Giuntoli in recent days, with the Juventus man aiming to ‘verify the feasibility’ of the operation. Furthermore, there are suggestions that the deal would not be to dissimilar to the one that saw Pierre Kalulu move in the summer.
Given the backlash to the Frenchman’s exit, if Tomori were to depart under similar circumstances, it would certainly be met with heavy criticism. If the move allows Milan to progress, as reports have suggested, perhaps, it is worth it.
