Celtic have had an abysmal season and it is expected that the Player of the Year season would be a low-key affair with the awards being given to players that have struggled to impress this season. However, the awards took place with prizes handed out to those that have tried in this woeful season. David Turnbull bagged a double, with the Young Player of the Year award and Player of the Year going home with the youngster.

Kris Ajer smashed the penalty into the net to beat Craig Gordon in the 2020 Scottish Cup Final, sealing the Quadruple Treble. The Norwegian defender has been one of the bright spots in an otherwise bleak season and his teammates have voted him as their Player of the Year.

Odsonne Edouard was confirmed as Top Goalscorer with 22 goals this season. The player has not had his best season but still managed to provide a number of goals. The Frenchman will likely be heading for the Celtic Park exit door with Leicester City likely to pursue a deal to bring him to the Premier League.

Goal of the season was awarded to Ismaila Soro, the Ivorian midfielder struck an inch perfect strike against Dundee United in December to open his account with the club.

Soro thanked the fans in his acceptance interview, such a humble character and a tenacious player that will hopefully be given the chance to flourish next season.

Young Player of the Year went to David Turnbull. The summer signing from Motherwell has been another player this season that has stood out after forcing his way into the first team. His flair, pace and ability to spot a pass have resulted in the midfielder being one of the first names on the Celtic team sheet.

The Player of the Year award was then awarded to Turnbull, who sealed a double with both gongs heading home with the young midfielder in his debut season with the Hoops.
