Galatasaray goalkeeper Fernando Muslera is trying to convince national team teammate Diego Godin to join him in the Turkish capital according to a report from Turkish newspaper Hurriyet.

Godin has emerged as a target for the reigning Turkish Super Lig champions and some reports in recent days have suggested that they have enquired about his availability to Inter.

Muslera, who has played alongside Godin in the Uruguayan national team for a number of years, is believed to have gotten involved in Galatasaray’s attempt to sign Godin.

The report does however not go into detail about whether Muslera’s involvement has had any form of impact but reports in the Italian media have suggested that Godin is in fact happy at Inter and has zero intention of departing the club just six months after arriving.

Godin has made 16 appearances across all competitions since arriving on a free transfer and has contributed a single assist.
