Turkish pundits backing departing Arsenal ace Ozil for Fenerbahce success | OneFootball

Turkey's football experts are confident Mesut Ozil will hit the ground running at Fenerbahce.

The former Germany midfielder is expected in Istanbul today after a pay-off from his Arsenal contract was agreed.

Fanatik's Erman Özgür says, "The most difficult players are those who have a weight problem. Mesut does not have such a problem. Our league will be easy because the pace of our league is lower than Mesut's leagues.

"Everything will become easy by playing matches."

Meanwhile, former Turkey star Nihat Kahveci added: "Mesut does not need to be physically ready. He is a player who plays with the ball on his foot and for the people around him. There is no one-on-one defence in the leagues that Mesut plays: Spain and England.

"A person will be on him when Mesut plays. But they will find a way to help him. He'll find a new freedom in games."
