Thirty degrees, clear blue skies and an oppressively scorching sun: FC Bayern coach Vincent Kompany put the FC Bayern players through their paces on the training pitch at Säbener Straße on Tuesday afternoon in temperatures akin to those in southern Europe. The programme for Leon Goretzka, Aleksander Pavlović, Mathys Tel, Konrad Laimer, Serge Gnabry and Co included tactical exercises, match situation drills and, above all, finishing practice.

Leroy Sané, who underwent groin surgery following his exit from the European Championship, completed another individual running session. Minjae Kim was absent from Tuesday's session as he has already travelled ahead to his home country of South Korea to be with his family. He will join up with the team there on Wednesday, when they arrive for the Audi Summer Tour in Seoul. Kingsley Coman, Dayot Upamecano, Matthijs de Ligt, Harry Kane and Alphonso Davies are still on holiday due to their participation in the European Championship and the Copa América tournaments respectively.

Two friendlies against Tottenham

On 3 August, FC Bayern will face Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur in a friendly match in Seoul (live on FC Bayern TV PLUS). The second clash with Spurs on 10 August in London (which will also be broadcast live and exclusively on FC Bayern TV PLUS) is seen by board member for sport Max Eberl as a “dress rehearsal” for the opening competitive match on 16 August in the DFB Cup against Ulm, who have been newly promoted to the second division. Three days before that, a friendly against Austrian Bundesliga side WSG Tirol is scheduled at the SpVgg Unterhaching stadium.
