Lewis Jones: "Harry Kane is just 7/2 to score first and 11/10 anytime for this first leg which makes little appeal considering my theory of this game heading down a cagey, risk-adverse avenue.
"However, his fouls lines are something to consider for those dabbling on the game. Kane is a bit of a silent assassin when it comes to the dark arts - there are few better in world football than winning fouls and taking the sting out of a game when his team need a breather.
"The Bayern front man has won 20 fouls in 10 Champions League appearances for Bayern with 13 of those coming in his last three games against Lazio and then in the two legs with Arsenal where he lured William Saliba and Gabriel into some uncharacteristic rash challenges.
"I can see a similar scenario playing out up against the aggressive Antonio Rudiger, who will know all about the skillset Kane possesses from their battles in the Premier League."
Andy Robson: "Real Madrid were content to play on the counter-attack in the away leg of their quarter-final clash with Man City earlier this month and they posted a possession figure of 32.7% at the Etihad Stadium as a result. Sitting deep, Los Blancos also conceded a staggering 18 corners against City, and though they are unlikely to concede that many again in Munich, that pattern of the first-leg contest at the Allianz Arena should be roughly similar.
"With Real likely to wait for counter-punching opportunities, Bayern Munich - who have been averaging 59.4% possession per home fixture this season in the Champions League - should be a dominant force in terms of territorial control and their corner tally could climb as a consequence.
"Bayern won eight corners at home to Arsenal in the second leg of the teams' quarter-final in Munich and they managed to earn at least six corners in five of their six Champions League home matches overall.
"Real Madrid meanwhile, conceded seven corners when they visited Germany for a Last 16 first-leg meeting with RB Leipzig in February, and they could allow their hosts to win at least six again on their return to German soil this week."
Andy Schooler: "Joshua Kimmich is certainly head and shoulders above his team-mates in terms of quantity of crosses - he averages 2.4 per game in the Bundesliga with the next-best Bayern player, Leroy Sane, on 1.0. It's a similar tale in this competition, albeit both figures are, understandably, a tad lower.
"With Harry Kane an excellent target waiting in the middle - he's got 42 goals in 42 games since joining Bayern - I'd expect the German international to be getting the ball into the box when given the opportunity.
"Kimmich for an assist at 5/1 is certainly tempting - he's had one in three of his 12 games since returning to right-back - and I think he's worth doubling up with Kane to score.
"The England captain will be up against a defence without the suspended Dani Carvajal, while Aurelien Tchouameni is again set to fill in at centre-back, a role in which the 24-year-old has limited experience."
NTT20: "In many ways Coventry are the perfect opponent for Ipswich. They've had a grueling few weeks, playing Saturday-Tuesday most weeks in order to fulfil their league fixtures alongside that epic FA Cup run. The emotional fatigue of that cup heartbreak was then compounded by a midweek defeat to Hull that ended their top six dream, and therefore promotion hopes.
"The 0-0 away draw at Blackburn showed an element of resoluteness given the circumstances, but in truth they were poor in that game and were fortunate not to be beaten. They were under the cosh against a relegation threatened side throughout, and the pressure only mounted in the second half when Liam Kitching was sent off.
"He's suspended for this one, and it would be no surprise to see Mark Robbins rotate his side here given the amount of games his team is being asked to play in such a short period of time. They've lost four of their last six in the league, and it's hard to see how they will muster the kind of performance level needed to stop an Ipswich side, for whom the stakes couldn't be higher.
"The visitors have also been strengthened by the return of George Hirst and Wes Burns from injury, both of who were surprise starters at Hull in their first games back from an enforced layoff.
"Town have won 11 games on the road and eight of those have been to nil. With Coventry mustering just six shots at Blackburn last time out, it's not hard to imagine them drawing a blank so the 11/4 about Ipswich winning this to nil appeals."
