Juventus are reportedly reviving their interest in young Chelsea midfielder Cesare Casadei, according to Tuttosport.
Casadei joined Chelsea in 2022 and showed glimpses of his talent. But he is stuck behind Enzo Fernandez, Romeo Lavia, Moises Caicedo and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
He has generally played in a deeper midfield role for Chelsea, which does not favour him, considering his best asset is his ability to arrive in the box late and finish off chances.
Juventus see an opportunity to acquire the talented midfielder at a reasonable price. The Serie A giants believe Casadei could be a valuable asset for the future.
However, the deal is not expected to materialise immediately. Juventus are taking a patient approach.
They want to assess Chelsea’s willingness to part ways with the young Italian and could face competition from Fiorentina and Lazio, who have previously shown interest.
As for Chilwell, he has been linked with a move to Juventus due to the numerous injuries in their rearguard.
The former Leicester City star is behind Marc Cucurella and Renato Veiga and will be desperate for playing time.
Chelsea are open to discussing potential deals involving Casadei and Chilwell as they look to trim their bloated squad.
