FC Bayern celebrated a 1-0 work victory against SC Freiburg on Saturday. Matthijs de Ligt scored the golden goal from the Munich point of view. Thomas Tuchel was satisfied with his team’s performance after the match.

Four days after the 2-1 cup defeat, Bayern took revenge on the Breisgau side with a 1-0 win in Freiburg.

Even though the Munich team had to fight hard for the three points, Thomas Tuchel was quite satisfied: „We deserved to win, but it was very close until the end because we failed to score. We had an insane amount of scoring chances, normally we have enough quality to score more goals,“ the 49-year-old told „Sky“ after the game.

„Sometimes you have to work“

Tuchel also has no problem with the fact that the victory falls into the category of a work victory: „We allowed a chance in every half, otherwise we were very industrious. It was a good team performance, sometimes you have to put your head down and work hard.“
