Babett Peter will call time on her football career after this season. The German defender announced her retirement and her teammates showed their appreciation at the end of the match between Real Madrid and Villarreal, which saw the Whites secure their place in the qualifiers for the Women's Champions League. Peter, one of the club's captains, was also presented with a souvenir plaque by Catalina Miñarro, one of the club's directors.
