Trevoh Chalobah’s crowning moments as a Chelsea player were perhaps his first. He was given an unexpected chance in the team in the UEFA Super Cup by Thomas Tuchel, and impressed so much that he’s been a regular squad player ever since.

Tonight, he gets another chance to shine, according to well known team news leaker C354SAM.

Chelsea will want to revert to a back 3 after they struggled against Wolves in a 4, and with Benoit Badiashile not in the Champions League squad and Thiago Silva still not ready for a start, it looks like Chalobah will get the chance to impress on the big stage again, likely alongside Kalidou Koulibaly and Wesley Fofana.

We don’t envy him – it could be a very long night up against Karim Benzema and Vinicius Jr. But we’ve seen Trev step up under pressure before, and tonight he will get the chance to build on his European night legacy.
