Mo Salah recently claimed that he’s seeking revenge against Real Madrid in this season’s Champions League final on Saturday, and Trent Alexander-Arnold has insisted he and his Liverpool teammates have no issue with the Egyptian’s comments.

The Reds No. 11 was forced off against the La Liga outfit during the 2018 final in Kyiv after suffering a shoulder injury following a clash with Sergio Ramos, and although the Scouser has claimed that this weekend’s clash is ‘personal’ for Salah, he was keen to stress that the entire squad have ‘motivation’ to defeat Carlo Ancelotti’s side at the Stade de France.

“The fact we lost to Real Madrid in the 2018 final means everyone has that bit of motivation to get one back”, Alexander-Arnold told blockasset’s Block Party podcast (via talkSPORT).

The Scouser in our Team urged his teammates to put ‘aside’ their emotions in the French capital in order to help win Liverpool their seventh European Cup.

“Mo [Salah] obviously has a personal reason, getting injured in that final and not being able to play on, but for everyone, it’s a big game,” Alexander-Arnold added.

“When it comes down to it, the emotions have to be put aside, and they will be, Mo knows that. None of the lads have had a problem with Mo speaking out about how it’s personal and it’s revenge time.

“Whatever we need to use as motivation, we will, but when it’s time to get to work on Saturday, the emotions will be put aside and we’ve got 90 minutes of football to play, let’s go and win it.”

It certainly won’t be an easy game against the Spanish giants, they’ve already knocked Chelsea, PSG and Manchester City out of the competition this season and will fancy their chances of defeating us in the final once again.

Their star man, Karim Benzema, has spoke to the media this week and also weighed in on Salah’s revenge comments.

We certainly believe he’s took the former AS Roma man’s comments the complete wrong way, but he clearly has confidence in his side and their ability.

In yesterday’s pre-final press conference, Salah did provide a positive update on his contract situation and confirm that he’s remaining on Merseyside for another season, but it remains to be seen what will happen when his current deal expires next year.

There’s no need to worry about that for now though.

We need to remain focussed and ensure we’re at our best at the weekend to create yet another special European night and pick up our third trophy of this remarkable season.
