England star one of three high-profile Reds stars out of contract next summer
Trent Alexander-Arnold says the pursuit of silverware will define his future at Liverpool.
The defender, like teammates Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah, is out of contract next summer and has been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid.
Los Blancos have signed a number of high-profile players on free transfers in recent seasons.
Kylian Mbappe joined the club this summer upon the expiration of his contract at Paris Saint-Germain, while Antonio Rudiger and David Alaba have been signed as free agents from Chelsea and Bayern Munich respectively.
Alexander-Arnold is believed to have a close bond with Madrid star Jude Bellingham too, further fuelling speculation about a move to the Spanish capital.
While the right-back confirmed he wants to stay at Anfield for the rest of the season, he stopped short of suggesting he would definitely be staying long-term.

“I want to be a Liverpool player this season [as a minimum] is what I will say,” he said.
“I have been at the club 20 years now, I have signed four or five contract extensions and none of those have been played out in public and this one won’t be either.”
A product of the Liverpool academy, the 25-year-old made his debut in 2016 and has since lifted almost every major trophy on offer at club level.
Still, it is the chase for more silverware that will ultimately decide where Alexander-Arnold’s future lays.
“The most important thing is always trophies if I am honest,” he added.
