New Real Madrid signing Trent Alexander-Arnold has moved to make clear his appreciation for the talents of two headline members of the attacking ranks in Spain’s capital.
The pair in question? Kylian Mbappé, and Vinícius Jr.
Alexander-Arnold is of course fresh off a busy couple of days.
After making the trip to Madrid following the conclusion of his international commitments with England, the 26-year-old was at last unveiled as the latest addition to Xabi Alonso’s Blancos squad.
Over the days since, Alexander-Arnold has since faced a whole host of questions, regarding his new home, hopes for next season and beyond.
And as alluded to above, in response to one such question, the former Liverpool defender revealed his admiration for two of his new teammates.
Drawn on the talents of attacking duo Kylian Mbappé, and Vinícius Jr, Alexander-Arnold explained:
“Much happier playing with them than against them. Top top players. World class players. These are the players you want to play against and with. Training with them everyday will make me a better player. So I am excited to do that. And also to be able to play with them on weekends and play in big games with them is very exciting for me. I’m sure we’ll strike up a good connection, get that chemistry as soon as I can and I’ll give many many assists.”
