Liverpool right back Trent Alexander-Arnold didn’t look happy when shown his FIFA 23 card.

Yep, as you’re probably well aware, the latest and final edition of the FIFA franchise has officially been released.

Gaming and football fans across the world will now be hibernating in any free moment they get over the coming months as they bid to build up their Ultimate Team roster.

Whilst the players have gotten the chance to review their respective ratings granted to them by the analysts involved with the game.

Trent’s FIFA 23 card

Alexander-Arnold is one of the best right backs in the world.

Despite being just 23, he has been a pioneer for the modern, more attacking full back and is second only to Kevin De Bruyne when it comes to his creative capabilities, according to the stats at least.

But he’s never really been the type of player that excels on FIFA.

The best cards on the game, especially on Ultimate Team mode, are usually lightning fast and weightlessly agile.

Something which we’re sure Alexander-Arnold himself would admit, he’s not.

The Englishman is much more renowned for his outstanding technique, a trait which has made him arguably the best in the world at crossing the ball as well as blessed him with a thunderbolt of a strike.

And so, despite being 87-rated in the game and therefore the highest-rated right-back on offer, he’s never been overly popular to use.

Let’s take a look at Alexander-Arnold’s stats on FIFA 23:

Overall rating: 87 Pace: 76Shooting: 69Passing: 89Dribbling: 80Defending: 80Physical: 73

They really aren’t all that flattering, are they? And how he’s only been given a 69-rating for shooting we’ll never know – did they see his screamer against Bournemouth earlier this season?

Whether the ratings truly bother Alexander-Arnold we’re not so sure, but it’s fair to say he didn’t look best impressed when Kostas Tsimikas and Diogo Jota showed him his latest update in the game.

“Shot 69 bro,” observed Tsimikas, as he showed his teammate the card.

Trent didn’t even bother to give a response, simply looking up at the camera in dismay.

His reaction says it all.
