Liverpool starlet Trent Alexander-Arnold is looking forward to continuing his rapid development under manager Jürgen Klopp.
The Reds announced on Friday that Klopp, along with assistant managers Pep Lijnders and Peter Krawietz, had agreed contract extensions keeping them at Anfield until 2024.
Alexander-Arnold has excelled under Klopp’s guidance, as evidenced by his selection as the 19th-best player in the world at last month’s Ballon d’Or ceremony.
“He has showed he is a world-class manager, if not the best in the world,” he told the club’s official website.
“He has done special things for the club and obviously the fans all love him.”
The 21-year-old added that the German boss has proved to be the ideal man to lead the club.
“He fits perfectly. He has brought players in, he has moulded players into world-class players.”
“We’re grateful to have a manager like him and obviously the more years he can spend here, the better it is for the club. So it’s really good for us to get a few more years out of him.”
Liverpool jetted out to Qatar on Sunday to compete at the FIFA Club World Cup.
The Reds are currently 10 points clear at the top of the Premier League, have qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League, and are still involved in both domestic cup competitions.
