Meanwhile, Olympique Lyonnais announced the return of their world champion and Champions League-winning midfielder Corentin Tolisso (27), for the next five seasons, until 30 June 2027. This comes just a few weeks after having already succeeded in bringing Alexandre Lacazette back to Lyon.

Corentin Tolisso is thus back at the club after five seasons spent at Bayern Munich. Lyon recalled in its press release that the French midfielder had been "transferred in the summer of 2017 for the sum of €41.5m". At OL, the club's newest recruit played 160 games for 29 goals in all competitions, while in Ligue 1 Uber Eats his record is 116 games and 21 goals. Gonalons, Martin make moves

Another former OL player is returning to the region: Maxime Gonalons. The former Lyon midfielder and captain has signed for Clermont Foot for two seasons (with an option for one more). He spent the last five years abroad: first at Roma and then in the Spanish league (Sevilla and Granada). At 33, he has played 241 games in Ligue 1. Jonas Martin has found a club again. The midfielder, who is free of contract after three seasons at Stade Rennais, will continue his career at LOSC. After Akim Zedadka, new LOSC coach Paulo Fonseca will be able to count on the experience and activity of the player trained at Montpellier and who also played for Amiens, Betis and Strasbourg. Jonas Martin, 32, has signed a contract until June 2024. Toulouse get new centre-forward Toulouse FC have signed the top scorer in the Dutch second division. The Ligue 2 BKT champions announced the signing of Thijs Dallinga on Friday. The 21-year-old Dutch centre-forward exploded onto the scene last season with Excelsior Rotterdam, scoring 36 goals and providing nine assists in 44 games in all competitions. He was instrumental in his club's rise to the Eredivisie and was named the best player in the Eerste Divisie.

"I am very happy to sign for TéFéCé and very proud to join the club," he told the TFC website. "I can't wait to meet our fans, I'm already looking forward to my first game at the Stadium. I watch a lot of football matches and I knew the club before I arrived. When the contact started, I followed the team's performances with more interest and I was able to watch some games at the end of the season. I was also able to talk to Stijn Spierings, who spoke very highly of the club and the city."
