Now that EPL’s season 2020-21 is among the hottest talk of the town, there are a lot of rumours regarding the new transfers of Manchester United.

Ousmane Dembele who plays as a forward of the French national football team and Barcelona stated that he does not plan to extend his new contract with the Spanish giants. Dembele has only 18 months left to play with Barcelona.

Manchester United initially chased Dembele but were turned down. However, because of Barcelona’s financial situation and the new salary cap rules added by La Liga, the team is also considering letting Dembele go.

On the other hand, United also stated that they are ready to put three players up for sale. These players are Marcos Rojo, Phil Jones, and Sergio Romero. Romero usually plays as a goalkeeper with a reputation of being a dependable understudy of David de Gea. However, his performance decreased and was not included in the recent season.

Eliana Guercio, Romero’s wife, did not hold back her opinions regarding the possible sale. ‘Sergio Romero worked hard for this club. The last trophy they won, they lifted it with him’, she said. The team also announced that both Romero and Rojo are both out of contract next summer. Jones also has commitments at the Theatre of Dreams until 2023.

The Outgoing Player

Aside from the rumoured additional members of the team, the Red Devils also need to let some of their players go. As a matter of fact, Juventus legend Claudio Marchisio persuades Paul Pogba to leave Man United.

‘Please Paul Pogba. Come to @juventusfc…you will be happy again… me too #tilltheend’, Marchisio tweeted. Pogba played with Manchester United during the 2011-12 season but left the team to join Juventus from 2012 to 2016. He returned to United in 2016, serving as his second stint with the club.

Despite this, there are no strong rumours of Pogba leaving United soon. You can bet on Manchester United next matches as you watch Pogba and the rest of the team fight to come out on top once again in the current Premier League season.

Other Possible New Players of the Team

Aside from the aforementioned, there are five other players who are most likely included in the January signings. These are Dayot Upamecano, Jadon Sancho, Jack Grealish, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Mesut Ozil.

Mesut Ozil is a German attacking midfielder for Arsenal. However, he hasn’t played for the team since March. With a contract set to expire in June 2021, Man United is planning to add him to the squad.

As we all know, Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the top players of Serie A and has always been linked to Man United. A transfer is more likely to happen soon, with Juventus showing plans of selling him. Although it is a big risk for Juventus to let him go, it is to balance the books.

United is also eyeing Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane to join the team. As a matter of fact, they are already preparing the final offer. Varane plays as the centre-back for Madrid. What makes him among the anticipated transfers is that he made more than 300 appearances and also won a total of 18 major honours.

Meanwhile, wonderkid Jadon Sancho is still on Manchester United’s radar. The interesting thing is that the club already spent months negotiating for the young midfielder but failed to meet Borussia Dortmund’s £100m asking price. Sancho is known as a highly technical and creative winger of the team.

The Red Devils would also definitely need a good centre-back like Dayot Upamecano. In fact, he is one of the most promising defenders of the league. According to some reports, Ed Woodward, Manchester United’s Chief Executive, will make his first move next summer. Upamecano usually plays as the central defender of RB Leipzig.

United is at the bottom ranks of the current Premier League table, only a couple of teams away from the relegation zone. Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær would need to push the team double time to reach the upper echelon of England’s top football league. Solskjær’s efforts might still pay off for the club, and you can bet on Manchester United next matches before this season ends.
