AC Milan have been the busiest club among the top sides in Serie A when it comes to summer spending and they are actually one of the biggest spenders out of everyone.
According to data from Transfermarkt, Milan’s current summer spending is at €90.5m and that counts up to the recently confirmed signing of Samuel Chukwueze while it does not include bonuses and only fixed fees.
With the signing of Yunus Musah from Valencia for a figure of €18-19m, Milan would break into the top five in terms of most spending in a summer transfer window in their history.
Currently in fifth place is 2015-16, with an expenditure of €102m. The top three are as follows: third place is 2018-19 (€121m), second is 2001-02 (€145m) and first place is 2017-18 and €186m.
It goes without saying that the Rossoneri are the top spenders in Serie A, while Transfermarkt has them 11th of any club in the world for summer spending, above Aston Villa (€88m) and below Chelsea (€112m).
Arsenal (€231.6m), Al Hilal (€178m) and PSG (€159.5m) are the teams that make up the podium, while the likes of Spurs, Real Madrid, RB Leipzig, Manchester United, Newcastle and Liverpool are in the top 10.
