It's all over this summer between Abdel Abqar and Deportivo Alavés. Both parties have decided to part ways, as officially announced by the Spanish club.

Abdel Abqar will be moving on to a new club to continue his football career. Although at one point he was rumored to be leaving and then possibly extending his contract with Deportivo Alavés, the Moroccan international is now set to depart. He was unable to reach an agreement with the club's management regarding the terms of a potential contract extension. As a result, the Spanish side has opted to let him go.

"Deportivo Alavés and Abdelkabir Abqar have parted ways after the end of his contract, and the player is set to embark on a new professional adventure," reads a statement from the club, bringing an end to a six-year journey.

Abdel Abqar joined Deportivo Alavés in 2020 and officially made the step up to the club's first team in 2022. To date, he has made 97 appearances, scoring 1 goal and providing 2 assists.
