Spurs transfer news: Dybala wants £300,000-per-week to move clubs in the summer

Juventus star Paulo Dybala has been linked with Tottenham in the summer, but the Argentine will not come on the cheap.

The Daily Mail reports that Spurs have reached an agreement on the Argentine’s transfer and it will cost them close to £69m, however, the 25-year-old’s wages are also quite steep.

The report claims that the Argentine international will demand close to £300,000-per-week which is £50,000 more than Tottenham’s top earner Harry Kane.

The English striker has been one of the best in the world since breaking into the Spurs team and had signed a contract last season to remain at the club until 2024.

Dybala has been incredible for Juventus over the years but his previous season was not all that great.

Wages could be a huge factor in Dybala signing

Spurs would have to pay a huge transfer fee and make Dybala one of the top paid players in the Premier League should they sign him.

The Argentine is a bit of a risky signing given his lack of Premier League experience, and his wage demands seem to be extremely high.

Kane and even players such as Son Heung-min provide more to their team, and instead of splashing £300,000-a-week on Dybala, Spurs should look at other signings.

The Argentine is still one of the best in the world, but Tottenham have to be wary of the finances.

Tottenham don’t have the biggest wage bill in the Premier League but that is due to the way they negotiate contracts. (h/t Sun).

Spurs have already spent big on Tanguy Ndombele in the summer, and it will be interesting to see if we make another big move before the end of the window.
