Kingsley Coman ready to exit Bayern Munich amidst Manchester United interest

According to RMC Sport (h/t Daily Star), Kingsley Coman is ready to call it quits at Bayern Munich amidst interest from Manchester United.

Both United and Chelsea are interested in the French international. While neither of them has gained a lead over the other, there is good news coming out of Germany in their pursuit of the 25-year-old.

The 25-year-old remains a key player at the Allianz Arena, with the German giants keen to tie him down to fresh terms. However, they have so far been unable to come to terms, with the club now calling off negotiations. (h/t The Mirror)

Despite having finished second in the Premier League and the Europa League last season, it is clear that we need reinforcements to close the gap at the top. There is little doubt that Coman would be an improvement over what we have at the club right now.

Despite his young age, Coman isn’t just an experienced winger but also a vastly successful one. He has won the league at Paris Saint-German, Juventus and Bayern Munich, not to mention the Champions League and Club World Cup title with the Bavarians.

In fact, Coman has been a part of a side that has won the league ever since he made his first-team bow in 2013. It is a record that looks unlikely to change if he stays on at Bayern for another season.

He currently has two years to go on his contract at the Allianz Arena. The major sticking point in negotiations with Bayern is Coman’s wage demands. The player who is represented by super-agent Pini Zahavi has demanded an annual salary of €8m for his client. (h/t The Mirror)

Coman’s demands are not unreasonable when one learns that Leroy Sane earns €18m a year. This despite being outperformed by the Frenchman. Given his contributions, Coman is well within his right to demand an equal pay rise. With United and Chelsea waiting in the wings, he will not be short of clubs who can come up with good terms.
