According to The Sun, Manchester United have an edge over their fellow rivals to sign teenage sensation Jude Bellingham from Bundesliga giants, Borussia Dortmund.
The 18-year-old was given an opportunity to sign for the Red Devils from Birmingham. He was given a special tour of the training ground by none other than Sir Alex Ferguson himself.
The management tried their best to lure the then 16-year-old to the red part of Manchester but the teenager chose a move to the Bundesliga. He made a £25million transfer to Borussia Dortmund.

The youngster has gone on to impress people with his performances at Dortmund. He even scored and assisted a goal in their latest Champions League fixture against Besiktas. This saw him become the youngest player to score goals in consecutive Champions League matches.
The midfielder is also being monitored by fellow Premier League rivals Manchester City and Chelsea. However, it seems like the Red Devils might have an advantage over their rivals in pursuit of Bellingham. While in conversation, a source revealed (h/t The Sun)
“United may have lost out last year when he moved to Germany, but the groundwork they put in has made a lasting impression on Jude and his family. They were really impressed with the effort United made and the respect they were shown by everyone at the club.”
Manchester United have had one of their most impressive transfer windows this summer as they brought former Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho, as well as club icon Cristiano Ronaldo back to Old Trafford.

Signing a new central-midfielder remains on the Red Devils priority list and Jude Bellingham can be a great long-term option at Old Trafford. The youngster is a big sensation right now and Manchester United may have to fork out an enormous amount of money for him.
Bellingham has also broken an international record by becoming the youngest player to ever feature in a European Championship. He made his Euro 2020 debut in the Group D opener against Croatia. He achieved this feat at only 17 years and 349 days old.
A teen prodigy, he can be a top signing for United. And, as things stand, the club may have an edge in the race for his signing.
