With Euro 2024 now less than a week away, clubs across the continent are expected to step up their efforts to secure key targets before the tournament and not risk soaring asking prices. Benjamin Sesko is expected to be one big name imminently on the move, with Arsenal leading the race but Chelsea have also made contact.

The Gunners are also keen on Bruno Guimaraes, having given up on Alexander Isak, and are now being linked with Federico Chiesa, Amadou Onana and Viktor Tsyhankov. Chelsea, meanwhile, have made their first summer signing in Tosin Adarabioyo and are now being linked with an audacious move for Manchester City's Julian Alvarez, and want to rival Manchester United for Michael Olise. However, wonderkid Rio Ngumoha wants to leave.

United are also in a battle for Leny Yoro with Liverpool and Real Madrid. Along with Olise, Palace could lose Eberechi Eze, who is of interest to Tottenham and has a £60million release clause, and Adam Wharton, with City are monitoring. Follow all the latest transfer news, gossip and rumours with Standard Sport!

Manchester United, Tottenham and Manchester City have all been linked with Eze, who the Daily Mail now say has a release clause in his current Palace contract worth £60m plus £8m in add-ons.

Man Utd and Liverpool get boost in Leny Yoro transfer battle

Leny Yoro is a man in demand this summer as Manchester United, Liverpool and Real Madrid all battle for the Lille centre-back.

The French side reportedly want around €40million (£34m) for the 18-year-old, who players 44 matches for Les Dogues last season despite his young age.

Yoro has just a year left on his contract so will be on the move this summer with Lille wanting to sell rather than lose him on a free next year.

Paris Saint-Germain believe they are the edge in the race as the youngster would stay in France, but AS report that the player does not agree and would be equally interested in a move abroad.

Chelsea learn Julian Alvarez asking price

Chelsea know a bid worth around £70million will be enough to sign Manchester City striker Julian Alvarez.

The World Cup winner wants more regular first-team football, having lost his place under Pep Guardiola in the second half of last season, and Atletico Madrid have also seen a bid rejected out of hand.

Marca report that City have set an asking price and Chelsea believe their history of transfer dealings with the club, for the likes of Raheem Sterling and Cole Palmer could give them the edge in negotiations.

CBS journalist Ben Jacobs insists the race remains wide open, with Paris Saint-Germain also interested in his services after losing Kylian Mbappe.

Crystal Palace interested in Ryan Sessegnon

Crystal Palace are exploring a deal to sign former Tottenham left-back Ryan Sessegnon on a free transfer.

According to South London Press, the 24-year-old is under consideration at Palace, who believe his versatility down the left flank would provide excellent cover to Oliver Glasner’s squad.

Sessegnon endured a miserable five years at Spurs as injuries restricted him to just 57 appearances. He played just seven minutes last season, which came in the FA Cup against Burnley.

Jamie Vardy signs new Leicester contract

Jamie Vardy is ready for a Premier League party.

The 37-year-old has agreed a new one-year contract with Leicester City following their promotion back to the top flight.

Vardy told Leicester's website: “To get the numbers that I did [last season], I’m delighted with it, but there’s still more to come. I look after myself. I’ve always said that age is just a number.

“My legs feel fine so that’s why I carry on until my legs say ‘that’s it, game over’. There will be a day when that comes, but that’s not right now.

“We look forward to another season in the Premier League and seeing what we can do. One hundred per cent, it’s the best league in the world. That’s where you want to be playing your football.”
