The summer window is edging ever closer as teams across the Premier League and beyond are stepping up their efforts to bolster squad. Arsenal are once again expected to spend big, with a new striker top of the agenda. Alexander Isak is the dream signing, but Benjamin Sesko or Joshua Zirkzee appear more realistic. A midfielder is also wanted, with Isak's Newcastle team-mate Bruno Guimaraes a key target, along with Monaco's Youssouf Fofana.

Chelsea and incoming new manager Enzo Maresca should soon welcome Tosin Adarabioyo to the squad after hijacking Newcastle’s deal, with a medical booked for next week. They are also rivalling Arsenal for Quilindschy Hartman, but Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is now less of interest. Michael Olise is the top priority, but Manchester United are also very keen. Trevoh Chalobah or Ousmane Diomande could make a switch to Old Trafford after being warned off Jarrad Branthwaite. James Overy could be their first summer deal. Kylian Mbappe is set to be unveiled at Real Madrid next week.

Tottenham continue to be linked with a host of strikers, with Santiago Gimenez saying ‘yes’ to a move and Ivan Toney available for £40m. Liverpool could make it a tough summer for Brentford with Bryan Mbeumo a target, while West Ham are lining up Luis Guilherme, and Daichi Kamada and Jobe Bellingham could both head to Crystal Palace.
