A new striker is also on the radar for the Gunners, who are set to field interest in Cedric Soares. Callum Wilson is one option after the Newcastle striker was made available for £18million. Chelsea are also monitoring the England forward as they ponder a loan swoop for Karim Benzema.

The Blues are also one of the clubs tipped to sign Victor Osimhen while Manchester United are reportedly the preferred destination for Michael Olise. Tottenham, meanwhile, are still hoping to land Antonio Nusa and West Ham have completed a deal for Kalvin Phillips to join on loan. French clubs eye Arsenal man

Fabio Vieira is wanted by a pair of Ligue 1 teams.

Monaco are named by Football Transfers as having enquired for the Arsenal man, along with an unnamed club.

The decision not to let Emile Smith Rowe leave has reportedly made it more likely that Vieira will be allowed to walk for the right price.

But a loan move is said to be more plausible at this moment.

Michael Olise makes summer transfer decision

The race for Michael Olise will undoubtedly hot up in the summer.

A new release clause was agreed in the Crystal Palace winger's contract after he turned down a move to Chelsea last summer.

The Blues are set to throw their hat in the ring once again at the end of the season, along with multiple other teams.

But football.london report on United being Olise's preferred destination at this time.

Earlier this month, we reported on the Red Devils eyeing him as a marquee signing to kickstart the INEOS era at Old Trafford.

Hope for Callum Wilson bidders

Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United have all been linked with a move for Callum Wilson.

And Eddie Howe's comments on Newcastle's situation with regard to Profit and Sustainability rules hint at a chance of Wilson being sold.

Howe told a press conference: "[Wilson] is 100 per cent committed to Newcastle. We want two fit strikers and want to keep him, but obviously, some things are out of my control."

He added: "It's been a difficult window so far. It's the first time since I've been manager that we've been linked with players leaving. That creates an unsettling dynamic.

"We want to keep our squad intact and keep our best players, but I'm also aware of the club side and FFP is affecting all clubs. We're no different to any other club."

As things stand, Mundo Deportivo say Real Madrid, Manchester City and Bayern Munich are top of the waiting list for Wirtz - but could a Xabi-led Liverpool also throw their hat in the ring?

Arsenal and Man Utd target's transfer clauses revealed

Joshua Zirkzee’s transfer clauses have been laid bare by the Italian media this morning.

The Bologna striker, ahead of facing AC Milan in Serie A later on, is being watched by Manchester United, Arsenal, Inter and many more teams.

But Bayern Munich, the club which sold him to Bologna, hold the upper hand in any bidding war.

They not only hold a buy-back clause worth £34million, according to Corriere dello Sport, they also have the right to match any offer the Italian club receives.

Which basically means if Bayern want Zirkzee and Zirkzee wants Bayern, almost nothing can stop them!

Real Madrid rubbish Karim Benzema links

Carlo Ancelotti has dismissed reports that Real Madrid want to sign Karim Benzema.

The French striker only left the Bernabeu last summer, for a big-money move to Al-Ittihad.

Now seeking a loan move away from Saudi Arabia, Benzema has been linked with Los Blancos as well as Chelsea and Lyon.

When asked if he wanted to sign his old player in a press conference, Ancelotti stated: "That's a lie, we haven't talked about that."
