The transfer window is in full swing and club across Europe have already been busy wheeling and dealing. Arsenal continue to hunt for a new striker, having missed out on Benjamin Sesko. Of interest is reportedly Artem Dovbyk, Nico Williams, Joshua Zirkzee and Victor Osimhen. PSG youngster Xavi Simons has also been linked.

Chelsea have had an eventful start to the week, with Brazilian wonderkid Estevao Willian completing a medical ahead of finalising his £51million move, before Pedro Lima performed a late U-turn to join Wolves instead of the BlueCo family. Chelsea will likely dry any tears with a deal for Michael Olise, and talks continue for Jhon Duran.

Tottenham could pile the misery on Crystal Palace by taking Eberechi Eze off their hands for £60m, with a first offer expected imminently. Interest in Ivan Toney is real, but reports that a bid has been rejected is not. Monaco right-back Vanderson has also been linked. Liverpool continue to scour the market for new manager Arne Slot's first signing. Keep up to date with all the latest transfer news, updates and gossip via Standard Sport’s live blog below!

Luis Diaz set for Barcelona talks in the USA

Liverpool winger Luis Diaz is said to be ready to leave the club.

Reports in the player’s native Colombia claim talks with a Spanish club, most likely Barcelona, are set to take place in the United States imminently.

It seems difficult to envisage the cash-strapped Catalans having the cash to pay for Diaz, but Arne Slot is reportedly happy to entertain offers.

Diaz recently dismissed speculation over his future and said: “I’m very happy at Liverpool, it’s a great team and club.

“I’ve always wanted to play there, so I’m very happy and relaxed. I’m not thinking about anything else, I’m thinking about the Colombia national team, which is where we are.”

Radu Dragusin agent jokes about Tottenham future

Radu Dragusin’s agent Florin Manea has never been afraid to talk up his client’s abilities and he joked that scouts were watching him after Romania beat Ukraine at Euro 2024 yesterday.

In a chat with Romanian station TVPlay, he revealed: “If he continues like this he could become one of the best central defenders in the world.

“Today my partner told me they were there Napoli scouts at the stadium to watch [Ukraine striker Artem] Dovbyk. Maybe they saw the game Dragusin played!”

Manea also offered insight into Spurs’ plans for the transfer market, with a new defender rumoured to be on their radar.

He continued: “From what I know, Spurs are not looking for a pure central defender, they are more looking for a flexible defender.

“In any case Dragusin is ready for anything, he is not afraid of the competition. I'm not worried because such a strong defender cannot be stopped, his growth cannot be slowed down.

“Tottenham have always placed their trust in him and in Serie A he has faced very strong attackers.”

Juventus move for Noni Madueke

A surprise move is brewing at Stamford Bridge with Juventus targeting Noni Madueke.

Chelsea want to at least earn back the £30m fee they paid for the young winger a year ago, according to Corriere dello Sport, with the Old Lady keen on a deal.

No deal is expected soon, it is said, with the Blues pondering what to do with Madueke but a sale is apparently their current plan.

Juventus are in need of a right winger and have also identified Jadon Sancho as an option. The Manchester United player’s high salary makes a loan-to-buy deal more tempting but the Red Devils would prefer a permanent sale.

Four-way fight for Xavi Simons

Bayern Munich have made an enquiry to sign Xavi Simons from Paris Saint-Germain.

That’s according to L’Equipe, who add Arsenal, Manchester United and Man City to the equation for the young Dutch winger.

PSG are previously said to have preferred loaning Simons out again next season, with a huge chunk of any transfer fee owed to former team PSV Eindhoven.

Latest on Tottenham interest in Ivan Toney

Tottenham are interested in a summer move for Ivan Toney but reports of a rejected bid are wide of the mark.

Football Transfers claimed on Monday that Spurs had both agreed personal terms with the England international and seen a first offer dismissed by Brentford.

But Standard Sport understands there is no truth in those reports.

It remains to be seen if Spurs do follow up on long-standing interest in the Brentford front man, but it is expected to come at a cost despite the player entering the final year of his contract.

Chelsea fear another hijacking as Bayern circle Michael Olise

Not many clubs who are not keen on Michael Olise, it would seem.

Chelsea and Manchester United are both pushing to sign the Crystal Palace star, who is valued at £60m, and they could now face competition from Bayern Munich.

Sky Germany report that Olise is on Bayern’s shortlist of targets, and a late swoop is in the offing despite Chelsea agreeing personal terms with the young French star.

It’s suggested that the Bundesliga side are willing to sell Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman, which could lead to them eyeing Olise.

Arsenal in first Victor Osimhen bid this week

Arsenal are ready to test Napoli’s resolve with a first bid for Victor Osimhen.

According to various reports in Italy, Mikel Arteta has decided on his preferred striker target and senses and opportunity for a cut-price deal.

Journalist Valter De Maggio told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli: “As far as we know, despite the monster offer from the Saudi Pro League, Victor Osimhen does not want to go to Saudi Arabia.

“Arsenal does not value him at €120million (£101m), but just over half that, €75million (£63.4m).”

Rai Sport back up De Maggio’s claims by reporting that Arsenal will confirm their interest with an opening bid this week, which will be lower than Napoli's steep valuation.
