Arsenal are hoping to confirm another new signing before their pre-season tour of the USA, with an agreement reached to sign Riccardo Calafiori for £35milion after Ajax goalkeeper Tommy Setford joined for less than £1m. The Gunners continue to be linked with Pedro Neto, but target Nico Williams looks set to join Barcelona and young star Chido Obi-Martin is closing in on a move to Manchester United.

Chelsea continue to work on deals for highly rated teenage defenders Aaron Anselmino and Caleb Wiley, but up front want a more established star amid links with Ollie Watkins and revived interest in Elye Wahi. A new goalkeeper is also on the wanted list. Manchester United have also been busy and are working on deals for Obi-Martin, Manuel Ugarte and Matthijs de Ligt - but Mason Mount is being linked with Tottenham.

Spurs are set to fly out on their pre-season tour and hope to sign three before they do, amid links with Jacob Ramsey and Ivan Toney. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg looks set to join Marseille for around £11m. Follow all the latest news, gossip and rumours including updates on West Ham and Liverpool below!

Chelsea set Hermansen asking price

It is no secret that Chelsea are in the market for a new goalkeeper this summer or that new Blues boss Enzo Maresca has been keen on a move for Leicester’s Mads Hermansen.

There has been an update on that interest in Hermansen from the Daily Mail, who say the Dane is valued at around £45million.

They say Maresca is a “big admirer” of a player who played a key role in helping Leicester storm to the Championship title under him last season, but that it is “unclear whether admiration will develop into anything more solid”.

Man Utd given hope in De Ligt pursuit

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag this weekend confirmed he wants to sign Matthijs De Ligt.

And Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has now said the Dutch defender could be on the move this summer.

“It is possible that a defender will still leave,” said Hoeness, who has been speaking in Germany today.

“De Ligt is Dutch, the coach at Man Utd is Dutch. I would have no problem if he stays. Personally, I would not sell [Dayot] Upamecano.”

Done deal! Arsenal sign Tommy Setford

Arsenal have sealed the signing of goalkeeper Tommy Setford from Ajax.

Setford arrives for a fee under £1million and has signed a four-year deal, with the Gunners holding the option of a further 12 months.

The 20-year-old had entered the final year of his contract with Ajax, who opted to sell rather than risk losing him for free at the end of the season.

Setford has been signed for the academy but will regularly train with the first team. He will immediately be exposed to first-team action by flying out with the squad on their tour of the United States.
