Transfer News: Aurelien Tchouameni is keen on joining Real Madrid in the summer

According to popular Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea target Aurelin Tchouameni is keen on making a move to Real Madrid and has already conveyed his intentions regarding the same to his teammates.

The former Bordeaux man moved to Monaco in 2019 and has since then gone on to establish himself as one of the best young midfield prospects in the world. His talent has not gone unnoticed with many European giants keen on securing the services of the Frenchman.

The defensive midfielder has played 50 times for the Ligue 1 giants scoring five goals and making three assists across all competitions this season. Also capable of thriving in a more advanced role. Tchouameni’s versatility makes him an asset to any team.

The 22-year-old has a contract with the French side till 2024 and if the Ligue 1 club want to get maximum value for their prized asset, they will have to sell him this summer. Real Madrid are said to be ready to spend the big bucks on Tchouameni and the player is very keen on joining them.

A talent lost?

Easily one of the best young midfielders in the world at the moment, Chelsea are set to miss out on what could have been a tremendous signing for them.

Tchouameni’s potential is honestly frightening and there seems to be no level that he cannot reach. With the Blues looking to reinforce their midfield, signing the Frenchman would have just been perfect as he would have injected some young legs into a somewhat ageing midfield.

Tchouameni is closing in on a Real Madrid move

Both Jorginho and N’Golo Kante are in their 30s and will have to be replaced really soon. Mateo Kovacic, as good a player as he is tends to be extremely injury prone. Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Ross Barkley impress in patches.

Conor Gallagher and Billy Gilmour are two of the most talented midfielders emerging out of Cobham in recent years and are likely to make it big in the Blues first team very soon. Adding someone else to the ranks will only improve the quality of Chelsea’s midfield for the future.

Aurelien Tchouameni could have been the man but he is not to be. It feels like a talent lost for Chelsea but there are other fish in the sea that the Blues can target.
