In a stunning twist, a source from Al-Masry club in Port Said has revealed that the team's new coach, Tunisian Nabil Kouki, has suggested to the club's management to open talks with Ali Maâloul, hoping to bring him in during the summer transfer window.The Tunisian international, a former left-back for Al Ahly, officially parted ways with the Cairo giants at the end of the 2024-2025 season, closing the chapter on a nearly nine-year spell packed with silverware.During his time in Cairo, Maâloul featured in 292 matches for Al Ahly, netting 35 goals and providing 85 assists—an outstanding record for a defender. He also enriched his trophy cabinet with 23 titles, including four CAF Champions Leagues, seven Egyptian Premier League titles, and several domestic cups and super cups.
