Celtic have been linked with Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper, Patrick Pentz. The shot-stopper is currently on loan at Danish outfit Brondby, who the Hoops have been watching lately as they track their young striker Mathias Kvistgaarden. The player has been linked with Brendan Rodgers men since last summer and is supposedly still one of the names in the pipeline for next season too.

However, his teammate who is on a temporary deal at the Danes from German outfit Leverkusen, is said to also be attracting admiring glances from the Bhoys as we look to solve our potential problem area come the summertime. With Joe Hart set to hang up his gloves after a long and illustrious career in the men’s game, it looks like we will have to get this one spot on.

With Pentz though, news of Celtic’s interest in the player broke through Austrian outlet, Salzburger Nachrichten, who have claimed that both the Scottish club and Dutch giants PSV are watching the ‘keeper.

He was quizzed directly on the links recently and said: “I get asked this question in interviews every week (Daily Record). “My contract at Leverkusen runs until summer 2025, so I can’t decide entirely on my own what happens next. My full focus is currently on the title fight and I will give everything for the club until the end. I feel very comfortable in Copenhagen: the club, the city and the people just suit me perfectly.”
