Top talent Archie Gray from Leeds United is on FC Bayern’s radar. This has now been confirmed by a transfer insider.

FC Bayern are apparently interested in England talent Archie Gray from English second division club Leeds United. Following reports from England, transfer insider Florian Plettenberg from Sky has now confirmed that the Munich club are keeping an eye on the youngster. Plettenberg wrote on X: „The club is monitoring the development of the 18-year-old top talent from Leeds. Bayern knows about his quality.“

However, the Sky reporter qualified: „But it’s not a hot topic. There is also no contact between Bayern and the player’s management.“ Gray is a key player for Leeds.

Gray’s contract with the Peacocks runs until 2028 and the club is currently third in the second-tier Championship in England under German head coach Daniel Farke.

Real Madrid and ManCity also thought to be interested in Gray

The English portal HITC had previously reported on the interest in Gray. According to the report, Bayern scouts were already at the stadium to observe Gray.

In addition to Bayern, top European clubs such as Real Madrid, Liverpool FC and Manchester City are also rumoured to be interested in Gray.

Gray has already played 46 games for Leeds this season. He started out as a right-back in the professional squad and now plays in central midfield.

However, the Leeds United management have high hopes of keeping their jewel. In January, they extended his contract until 2028, although there was already interest from several top clubs at the time.

Leeds United also runs in the family blood: Gray’s father, grandfather and a great-uncle all played for the club. His younger brother Harry Gray is also currently in the Leeds United U18 squad.
