Transfer gossip: Real Madrid ready to pay €300m for Neymar

The window is closed in England and Italy, but that doesn’t mean clubs elsewhere in Europe aren’t still having plenty of transfer fun.
Here’s all the gossip on this fine Saturday …
Real Madrid are willing to pay €300m to sign Neymar this summer, according to Sport.
But Los Blancos will only be able to bring the Brazilian to the Bernabéu if UEFA punish Paris Saint-Germain for Financial Fair Play breaches and they are forced to sell their most prized asset.
Matteo Darmian will stay at Manchester United until January at least after the 28-year-old was unable to seal a return to Italy before the Serie A transfer window closed.
And Juventus have completed the signing of young English striker Stephy Mavididi from Arsenal. The 20-year-old leaves having never made a single first-team appearance for the Gunners.
Pep Guardiola has dismissed rumours Manchester City could make a move for free agent Claudio Marchisio as cover for the injured Kevin De Bruyne. 32-year-old Marchisio was released by Juventus on Friday after 25 years at the club.
